Whether you are a Nintendo fan or a Pokemon master, everyone agrees that most things Japanese have a very unique and cool aesthetic that appeals to us.

So when we heard about a Japanese exclusive Pokemon title we all became a bit green with envy.

But not anymore… Next in the lineup of our limited re-imagined Pokemon releases is… English translated Pokemon Green.

For a lot of us this will be our first play-through of Pokemon green so we wanted to introduce you to it as close to the original as possible, aside from the language changes this will be how it was intended to be played.

So grab Bulbasaur and head out on your journey as a Pokemon Master!

Aesthetic:

We wanted this release to hit hard with the nostalgia and bring out your inner child that needs it in your collection.

Starting with the design of the label, we found a way to apply a holographic effect to the artwork, reminiscent of the early trading cards.

The label itself was again inspired by the Pokemon trading cards and pays tribute to the games origins from japan.

GamePlay:

The Japanese release of Green was similar to the western version of Blue in many ways. However the original release of Pokemon green was coded very differently, including limitations such as 3 characters for Pokemon names, whilst this worked well for the Japanese language it meant that it was virtually impossible to translate the game accurately.
Instead, Pokemon blue has been hacked and patched with all the goodness of Green to bring you a true English version of Pokemon Green.
